What is Meta business verification?

How it works 1. In **Meta Business Suite → Security Centre**, choose **Start verification**. You need full control of the business portfolio. 2. Enter your business's **legal name, address and phone number** exactly as on official records. 3. If Meta can't find a match, upload documents that show your legal name — such as a business licence or certificate of incorporation. 4. Confirm by email, phone, text, WhatsApp or your website domain. 5. Wait for Meta's decision — Meta says it can take **up to 14 business days**. The status shows in Security Centre.

What it unlocks on WhatsApp - A messaging limit of **2,000** customers a day (one of Meta's paths up from 250). - Up to **20** registered phone numbers instead of 2. - One of the five conditions for the blue-tick **Official Business Account**.

An example A distributor enters its company's registered name and address. Meta can't match them automatically, so it uploads its certificate of incorporation, confirms by email on its company domain and, once approved, can message 2,000 customers a day.
