What is a WABA?

A note on Meta's newer names Meta's newer documentation calls this the **WhatsApp account** ("your business presence on WhatsApp") and keeps templates, billing and payment methods in a linked **messaging account**. Most people, and most tools, still say **WABA**.

Why it matters for a business - **You own it.** When you connect WhatsApp, Lead Pattern stores your WABA credentials securely and uses them to send messages, sync templates and receive messages through Meta's official API. An example A furniture shop creates a business portfolio in Meta, then a WABA inside it, and adds its sales number. Its order-update and offer templates are saved in that WABA. In Lead Pattern, each workspace maps to one WhatsApp number, so if the shop later adds a separate service number, it uses a second workspace.
