When is a cart "abandoned"?
- Shopify: the customer started checkout and left their details but didn't place an order. The reminder is sent after your wait time, and only if no order follows. Each checkout gets it once.
- WooCommerce: an order is still unpaid (pending or failed) 30 minutes after it was created. If the customer pays within that time, nothing is sent.
- QuickSell: when a customer taps *Add to order* on a product you sent, a bot can wait (for example 2 hours) and send a cart reminder with their View Cart link.
A second nudge
For a two-step journey, use the Shopify Abandoned Checkout trigger in the bot builder: send the first template, add a Time Delay, then a second message — and assign the chat to your team if the customer replies. If both the Shopify page reminder and a bot are switched on for the same event, both run, so turn one off.
Keep it friendly
One or two reminders are enough. More feels pushy, and blocks hurt your quality rating. Meta charges cart reminders as marketing — about ₹0.86 each in India (indicative, excluding GST).
